How stack placement works
Stacks are the reason this site is worth visiting: a short, honest list of what people in a given role actually use. That only holds if you can trust how tools get onto those lists. Here is exactly how.
01We read your site
When a tool is submitted we read its website and draft a listing — what it does, pricing, features, category. The founder corrects anything we got wrong before it goes anywhere.
02We suggest candidate stacks
The same pass proposes stacks the tool might belong in, matched against the personas those stacks are built for. These are suggestions attached to the submission, nothing more.
03A person decides
Every listing and every placement is reviewed by hand before it is published. Nothing auto-publishes into a stack. If a tool does not genuinely fit the persona a stack is built for, it does not go in.
Placement is not for sale
You cannot buy your way into a stack. Not for $29, not for any number. The moment stacks become purchasable they stop being worth appearing in — and then the placement is worth nothing to the people who paid for it. We would rather have a smaller catalogue that people believe.
What a paid listing does get you
- A verified badge, so people know the team behind the tool stands behind the page
- Full control of the listing — description, pricing, screenshots, a demo video
- Click stats: how many people went from us to you, and from which page
- Priority consideration when we build a stack your tool fits — a faster look, not a guaranteed seat
If we ever run sponsored slots
If a stack ever carries a paid slot, it will be labelled as sponsored, on the row itself, and capped at one per stack. Labelled sponsorship is honest. Sponsorship dressed up as a recommendation is not, and we are not going to do it.
